On August 19, 2014, a City owned compressed natural gas (CNG) street sweeper
caught on fire and exploded, resulting in extensive damage to a carport structure that
houses equipment and fleet vehicles for the Public Works Services Department

Inc. for the repair and reconstruction of the damaged carport structure for continued
use.
The PWSD had a structural engineering company assess the structural damage and
provide engineering construction plans to be utilized for the completion of the repairs.
The work completed under this project included the replacement of a damaged block
