Huntington Drive ROLL CALL OF CITY COUNCIL/REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MEMBERS: Peter Amundson, Mayor /Agency Chair Gary Kovacic, Mayor Pro Tem /Agency Vice Chair Roger Chandler, Council /Agency Member Robert Harbicht, Council /Agency Member Mickey Segal, Council /Agency Member PUBLIC COMMENTS — CLOSED SESSION /STUDY SESSION (5 minute time limit) Any person wishing to address the City Council /Redevelopment Agency on any Study Session or Closed Session item is asked to complete a "Public Comments" card available in the Council Chamber Lobby. The completed card should be submitted to the City Clerk/Agency Secretary prior to the start of the Study Session /Closed Session meeting. In order to conduct a timely meeting, there will be a five (5) minute time limit per person. All comments are to be directed to the City Council /Redevelopment Agency and we ask that proper decorum be practiced during the meeting. State law prohibits the City Council /Redevelopment Agency from discussing topics or issues unless they appear on the posted Agenda. CLOSED SESSION a. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957.6 to confer with labor negotiators. STUDY SESSION City Negotiators: Administrative Services Director Hue Quach and Human Resources Administrator Michael Casalou. Employee Organizations: Arcadia Public Works Employees Association, Arcadia City Employees Association, Arcadia Police Officers' Association, Arcadia Firefighters' Association and unrepresented employees: Department Heads, Division Managers, Supervisors, and Part -time employees. a. Report, discussion and direction on the Scope of the Huntington Drive Capacity Improvement Project. Any writings or documents provided to a majority of the City Council regarding any item on this agenda will be made available for public inspection in the City Clerk's office located at 240 W. Presentation to the Arcadia High School Science Bowl Teams. CONSENT CALENDAR All matters listed under the Consent Calendar are considered to be routine and can be acted on by one roll call vote. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless members of the City Council /Redevelopment Agency request that specific items be removed from the Consent Calendar for separate action. Huntington Drive, Arcadia, Califomia, during normal business hours. REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ITEMS: a. Approve the Meeting Minutes of April 6, April 20 and May 4, 2010. Recommended Action: Approve b. Authorize the Executive Director to execute a Professional Services Agreement with Caporicci & Larson for auditing services in the amount of $6,770. Recommended Action: Approve CITY COUNCIL ITEMS: c. Approve the Meeting Minutes of April 6, April 20 and May 4, 2010. Recommended Action: Approve d. Authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with the Arcadia Unified School District for Transportation Services for recreation activities from July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011. Recommended Action: Approve e. Appropriate funds in the Capital Outlay fund in the amount of $9,188.59 to purchase a new stage for community oriented events. Recommended Action: Approve f. Authorize the City Manage to execute a Professional Services Agreement with Caporicci & Larson for auditing services in the amount of $30,550. Recommended Action: Approve 2. CITY MANAGER ITEMS: a. Authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with Chaparral Construction in the amount of $1,648,020.65 for the Santa Anita Avenue Corridor Improvements and approve a 10% contingency. Recommended Action: Approve b. Authorize the City Manager to execute a Professional Services Agreement with IBI Group to provide technical review of conceptual design and cost estimates for the Gold Line Foothill Extension project in the amount of $50,000. Recommended Action: Approve c. Report, discussion and direction regarding Gold Line Extension Improvements to the Arcadia Station and the Huntington Drive and Second Avenue Bridge. Recommended Action: Provide Direction ADJOURNMENT The City Council /Redevelopment Agency will adjourn this meeting to Tuesday, June 1, 2010, 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chamber Conference Room located at 240 W. Huntington Drive, Arcadia. Pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, persons with a disability who require a disability related modification or accommodation in order to participate in a meeting, including auxiliary aids or services, may request such modification or accommodation from the City Clerk at (626) 574 -5455. Notification 48 hours prior to the meeting will enable the City to make reasonable arrangements to assure accessibility to the meeting.
