AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION - 5 minutes per person None. 2. REPORTS a. Coooerative Projects between Temple Citv and City of Arcadia The Council Members from each City introduced themselves as well as members of staff who were present at the meeting; the Council members engaged in dicussion on a variety of topics that pertain to both cities including single-family design review, the upcoming expansion projects slated for the Santa Anita Race Track and the Westfield Shopping Center; new development in the City of Temple City, and issues regarding mansionization; both Council also dicussed redevelopment issues in their respective cities as well as the impacts of policy decisions on the diverse communities served by both municipal governments. Mayor Zovak, Temple City, noted that Temple City is lacking in adequate open space. 47:0022 City Manager Bill Kelly noted that police and fire have set up mutual aid relationships in the event of disaster and that the staffs from neighboring cities haJe been cooperative in working on issues of mutual concern. 02-22-05 ._ .. ~ b. Discussion reaarding the entrance sign at Baldwin Avenue/Las Tunas Drive After engaging in discussion on this topic, both City Council's directed their steff to begin working on alternatives for a joint sign project for the border of Temple City and Arcadia. ADJOURNMENT The Arcadia City Council adjourned this meeting at 8:20 p.m. to Tuesday, March 1, Z005, 6:OOp.m. in the City Council Chamber Conference Room for iks regularly scheduled meeting. James H.
