SUBJECT: CONTINUANCE OF MODIFICATION NO. MC 16-14 WITH A
CATEGORICAL EXEMPTION FROM THE CALIFORNIA
ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT (CEQA) TO ALLOW A NEW TILT-UP
ROOF MOUNTED, PHOTOVOLTAIC SOLAR SYSTEM TO EXCEED
THE MAXIMUM BUILDING HEIGHT OF 25’-0” BY 2’-4” IN THE SINGLE-
FAMILY (R-1) ZONE AT 2001 HOLLY AVENUE
The proposal is to allow a new tilt-up roof mounted, photovoltaic solar system to exceed
the maximum building height of 25’-0” at 2001 Holly Avenue. On September 7, 2016,
the Applicant, Ms. Caroline Trujillo, informed staff that the property owner, Mr. Dishan
Jayasinha, will not be able to attend the public hearing due to unrelated business matter
and requested that the Committee continue the hearing until November of this year. A
revised public hearing notice will be sent to all the affected property owners.

To whom it may concern at the City of Arcadia,
I, Caroline Trujillo, acting on behalf of SolarCity and the applicant of the application for modification on
2001 Holly St. am hereby requesting to postpone the city hearing that we had previously scheduled for
September 13th to November 8th. The home owner Dishan Jayasinha is going to be away on a business
trip until the end of October and wishes to be present during his hearing.

I, Dishan Jayasinha, am hereby requesting to postpone the hearing regarding my application of
modification on 2001 Holly Ave to the new proposed date of November 8th 2016. I will be away for
business until November and I desire to be present during the meeting.
