ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT (CEQA) FOR A DRIVE-THROUGH
RESTAURANT AT 701 W. HUNTINGTON DRIVE
Recommended Action: None – The proposal has been withdrawn by
the applicant
The applicant, Mr. Joel Philips had submitted a proposal to demolish the existing gas
station that currently occupies the property at the northwest corner of Huntington Drive
and Baldwin Avenue to accommodate a new, 2,958-square-foot, Chick-fil-A, drive-
through restaurant. After public hearing notices for the project had been issued, the
property owner and the applicant met to discuss updating of the terms of their lease
agreement. The parties could not agree on terms, and the applicant has withdrawn the
proposal.
