Subject: Notice of Pending Decision of Single Family Design
Review No. SFADR 16-38
Dear Neighbors:
The owner of the subject property is proposing a new residence that is
subject to the City’s Single Family Architectural Design Review process. You
have the opportunity to comment on the project prior to the City making a
decision.
Location: 523 Santa Cruz Road
Project Description: The applicant is proposing a 1,500 square foot second-
story addition to the existing single-story residence, a new 352 square feet
covered patio at the rear of the house on the first floor, and a 17 square foot
addition to the first floor. The total square footage of the house will be 3,732
square-feet, and the architectural style will change from a Traditional to a
Craftsman-style house.
Categorically Exempt from CEQA per Section 15301(e)(1)
Comment Period: November 5, 2016 – November 18, 2016 (4:30 PM)
Comments may be submitted in writing to Planning Services at Arcadia City
Hall at 240 West Huntington Drive, P.O. Box 60021, Arcadia, CA 91066-
6021, or by fax to (626) 447-9173, or by email to VQuiroz@ArcadiaCA.gov.
A decision will be reached no earlier than November 18, 2016 at 4:30 p.m.
Under this process, no formal hearing is scheduled on this application. A
notice of decision will be mailed to those residents and property owners who
submit written comments on this project or request in writing to be notified of
the decision. An appeal of the administrative decision may be made by the
applicant or any interested party within five (5) business days following the
date of the decision by submitting a letter of appeal and paying the appeal
fee.
