You have the opportunity to comment on the project prior to the City making a decision on the project described below: A. Categorical Exemption per Section 15301 from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as an existing facility. B. Single-Family Design Review No. SFADR No. 16-54 Project Description: The Applicant is proposing a first floor addition of 380 square feet and a new second floor at 1,005 square feet to an existing 2,136 square foot, single story residence. The total square footage of the property will be 3,624 square-feet, and the architectural style will change from a Traditional to a Spanish style house. Lot Size: 8,623 square feet Existing Building Size (excluding the garage): 2,136 square feet New Building Size (excluding the garage): 3,624 square feet Floor Area Ratio Proposed: 3,624 square feet (42%) Floor Area Ratio Allowed: 3,880 square feet (45%) Comment Period: August 30, 2017 to September 14, 2017 by 5:30 PM Persons wishing to comment on the project and/or environmental documents may do so by submitting written statements to Planning Services prior to September 14, 2017. Under this process, no formal hearing is required. A notice of decision will be mailed to those residents and property owners who submit written comments on this project or request in writing to be notified of the decision. An appeal of this administrative decision may be filed within ten (10) days following the date of the decision with the required application and appeal fee. You may also visit the City’s website at www.ArcadiaCA.gov/noticesanddecisions to view this notice, the architectural plans related to this project, and the approval/denial letter. City Hall will be closed on Friday, August 1, 2017 and September 4, 2017 in observance of Labor Day.
