You have the opportunity to comment on the project prior to the City making a decision on the project described below: A. Categorical Exemption per Section 15301 and 15305 from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) for an addition to an existing structure and minor alteration in land use limitations; and B. Major Administrative Modification No. Major AM 19-13 Project Description: The applicant is proposing a 614 single -story addition, conversion of a 453 square foot attached garage into habitable space, permitting 84 square feet of unpermitted construction, demolishing a 248 square foot bedroom, and construction of a new detached 441 square foot two-car garage. A modification has been requested to encroach into the required 25 -foot rear yard setback. The addition that will encroach measures 91 square feet and the en-croachment will range from 6’-2” to 10’-4”. The Highlands Homeowner’s Association Architectural Review Board has reviewed and approved the architectural design of the addition.
