Total current output from the 2 branches of PV=23.2A,with 125%factor for continuous output per NEC 210.19(A) = 29A. Next size up breaker=30A. The 15A/2P breaker is responsible for the PV monitor system,PVS6,which isn't part of the PV output. It shall not be in part of PV over-current protection and wire sizing as it's technically a load, not addition to the PV system output. AWG#10 wire is also the proper wire size for 30A circuit per NEC 240.4(D),and 310.15(B)(2)(b)with temperature derate factor. I was advised by our Inspection Coordinator Heriberto Lora who walked the inspection with you that there was a concern about our PV Backfeed of our amps being too much load in addition that we are back feeding too many amps to our service panel. Pertaining to your concern on our PV backfeed we are and always have designed our plans to comply with the point of connection in section 705.12(1)(a)where we are not exceeding the 125%rule. Our backfeed is the maximum at 40A which we can't exceed and we are not. Please see my calculation referenced from our branch circuits. 15(Number of Panels)x 1.25 (125%)x 1.45(Maximum continues Output)=29 the next size up for our backfeed is 30A. 1 In addition the 30A is based on our temperature derate coefficient of.58 and our derating coefficient of.80. Please reference our electrical calculations and the following tables listed. Table 310.15(B)(2)(a) Table 310.1S(B)(16) • Pertaining to our branch circuits please review our AC Module information which shows our maximum branch circuits at "20A"which is highlighted and please also refer to the UL number on our sheet. The two branch circuits for 20A is only pertaining to the number of AC modules and microinverters in the branch circuit where the 15A is which is the MLO is the Main Lug Out to backfeed to our 30A. We are technically following California's requirement for solar standard under Title 24. Also keep in mind this is not a central inverter system. Please forward this correspondence to your electrical engineer for further review and reach out with further questions.
