A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA,
CALIFORNIA, EXTENDING EXISTING MEMORANDUM OF
UNDERSTANDING WITH NO CHANGES TO EXISTING
COMPENSATION AND RELATED BENEFITS FOR EMPLOYEES
REPRESENTED BY THE ARCADIA POLICE OFFICERS
ASSOCIATION ("APOA")
WHEREAS, the City of Arcadia ("City") entered into a certain Memorandum of
Understanding with APOA effective April 1, 2018; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Myers Milias Brown Act of the State of
California, the City and APOA have met and conferred in good faith regarding wages,
hours, and other terms and conditions of employment; and
WHEREAS, as a result, the City and APOA desire and intend to enter into that
certain Agreement to Extend MOU ("Letter of Agreement") attached hereto as Exhibit "A"
and incorporated herein by reference, without any changes to existing compensation or
benefits.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA,
CALIFORNIA DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby approves the Letter of Agreement, and the
City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute this Letter of Agreement on
behalf of the City.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.

Exhibit "A"
LETTER OF AGREEMENT
BETWEEN
THE CITY OF ARCADIA
AND
THE ARCADIA POLICE OFFICERS' ASSOCIATION
The City of Arcadia and the Arcadia Police Officers' Association ("APOA") hereby agree to
amend Article II, Section A. "Term" to read as follows:
The parties have met and conferred in good faith regarding wages, hours, and other terms and
conditions of employment and it is mutually agreed that this Memorandum of Understanding
shall be effective for the period beginning April 1, 2018 and ending on June 30, 2020.
Recognizing the potential financial impacts caused by COVID-19, APOA representatives and the
City of Arcadia have mutually agreed to extend the terms and conditions of the Memorandum of
Understanding for one year, ending on and through June 30, 2021.
Both parties further agree to begin negotiations for a successor Memorandum of Understanding
by mid-October 2020.
