as most are rejoining. Applications are available at outdoor book sale. Trustee Carter reported

Children's crafts. Chair Delphey attended the Arcadia Chinese Association Gala and was
impressed with what they've accomplished. She also cited a recent "Ask Amy" column which

"Form 700 Economic Interest" questionnaire. The Director responded to her questions by
reviewing the purpose and guidelines. The Board also had questions about summer reading

Director's Update: City Council passed a "no camping" ordinance Tuesday night, which limits
where people can camp. Camping will not be allowed at the Library and Museum. The Director
also described the hub's services to the homeless and let the Board know they can arrange a

reopen the building this fiscal year. Vacant positions have been frozen so reopening would be
difficult without reducing hours. Children's staff are concerned about the lack of reading at home
and is planning on increasing outreach to the public. She described the Library's efforts to promote
reading, including the Spring Reading Program.
