SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT TO THE ARCADIA MUSEUM COMMISSION
Recommendation: Make Appointment to fill Unexpired Term
SUMMARY
At its meeting on June 16, 2020, the City Council reappointed Carlos Reza to serve on
the Arcadia Museum Commission for a second four-year term, which expires June 30,
2024. On June 15, 2021, the City Clerk’s Office received the attached resignation letter
from Mr. Reza, effective immediately. This agenda item will enable the City Council to
take action to fill the vacancy on the Arcadia Museum Commission.
DISCUSSION
Due to the resignation of Mr. Reza, it is recommended that the City Council make an
appointment to the Arcadia Museum Commission from the attached resumes currently
on file with the City Clerk’s Office. Individuals who had resumes on file were contacted
and expressed an interest to serve on the Arcadia Museum Commission.
In order to facilitate City Council action, the following documents are attached:
• Resignation Letter of Mr. Carlos Reza
• Citizen Service Resumes (in alphabetical order). Applicants have been verified
as residents and registered voters of the City.
ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS
The proposed action does not constitute a project under the California Environmental
Quality Act (“CEQA”), and it can be seen with certainty that it will have no impact on the
environment. Thus, this matter is exempt under CEQA.

FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact as a result of City Council action on this item.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council determine that this action does not constitute a
project and is therefore, exempt under, the California Environmental Quality Act
(“CEQA”); and make an appointment to the Arcadia Museum Commission to fill an
unexpired term which expires June 30, 2024.
