It is recommended that the City Council accept this gift. DISCUSSION The Arcadia Rotary Club #774 is donating $1,000 to the APD to help support a new outreach program focused on educating Arcadia High School students about the dangers of smoking and vaping. The money will be used to pay for marketing costs related to printing literature and signage, which will be displayed throughout the Arcadia High School campus. This Anti-Smoking and Anti-Vaping campaign will be centered on education, awareness, and prevention messaging in order to help reach teens. The goal is to make a positive impact on knowledge, attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors toward tobacco and nicotine to reduce smoking and vaping early in life.
