Lemon Avenue, Arcadia, CA 91007 Dear Mr.Wang: In accordance with the requirements of the City and per your request and authorization, this certification has been prepared for the demolition and backfilling of the pre-existing swimming pool located at the subject site. 1. We understand that creating of drainage holes at bottom and removal of upper portions of the swimming sidewall shell have been approved by the City Inspector prior to backfilling the swimming pool. 2. We also understand that all utility lines serving the swimming pool were terminated/disconnected/removed and plugged/capped and approved by the City Inspector. 3. Regular soil fill materials generally consisted of fine sand with traces of clay, was placed in thin lifts,added water by using a water hose, and compacted to 90%relative density by using a Bobcat and hand-held vibratory compactor/rammer. Conclusion: The demolition and backfilling of the pre-existing swimming pool is considered geotechnically acceptable and suitable for the intended use from the geotechnical view point.
