NO. 7356 FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A CHARTER REVIEW
COMMITTEE
Recommendation: Adopt
SUMMARY
At the July 6, 2021, City Council Meeting, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 7356
establishing a Charter Review Committee for the purposes of reviewing and updating the
City’s Charter. Resolution No. 7356 stated that the Charter Review Committee
(“Committee”) was to be comprised of five (5) members appointed at-large; however, at
the September 21, 2021 City Council Meeting, the City Council elected to appoint seven
(7) members to the Committee. As a result, a new Resolution should be adopted by the
City Council to clarify this technical change. Therefore, it is recommended that the City
Council adopt Resolution No. 7392 rescinding and replacing Resolution No. 7356 for the
establishment of a Charter Review Committee.
DISCUSSION

seven (7) members to the Committee. The above referenced section has been changed
to following:
1. The Committee shall be comprised of seven (7) Arcadia residents selected at-
large.
There are no other changes to the original Resolution.
