Council Member Beck requested support from two other City Council members to add this item to an upcoming agenda. Council Member Verlato and Council Member Chandler concurred. It is recommended that the City Council discuss cancelling City Council meetings during the month of July or some other summer month timeframe and provide direction. ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS The proposed action does not constitute a project under the California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”), and it can be seen with certainty that it will have no impact on the environment. Thus, this matter is exempt under CEQA. FISCAL IMPACT There would be minor savings to the General Fund in agenda printing and preparation costs as well as overtime costs for each meeting cancelled. RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the City Council provide direction regarding modifying the City Council meeting schedule during summer months.
