Box 60021 Arcadia, CA 91007 FROM: Michael CranesEPArbor Care, Inc.skp Project's Arborist of Record SUBJECT: 911 Hampton Rd.: Arborist's Final Evaluation Refer to: Original Protected Tree Report,Dated Jan.2018 The construction of the new home, including all hardscape features and landscape installation has been completed. The 18 healthy Protected Trees (16 on-site and thre off site) have been successfully preserved to this point. The three diseased/hazardous trees (Trees #3, #4 and #6) were removed during the demolition and grading phase; and Tree #8 was removed during construction after it was destroyed by excessive pruning for powerline clearance. Five 48-inch box, nursery grown Coast Live Oaks have been properly installed in the public right-of-way setbacks along Hampton Rd. and Glencoe Dr. as mitigation for the removed trees. I have monitored all dripline encroachments throughout the entire project beginning with demolition and grading, and including the close encroachments on the off-site trees for the installation of the property line walls with sections of wrought iron fences spanned in the critical rootzone areas. All work has been done in a professional manner with respect towards the established Tree Protection Zones and the cultural requirements of the trees. The final grades surrounding the trees are the same as they were prior to construction and the soil is at the proper elevation around the root collars. Landscape renovations that were done within the driplines are consistent with proper cultural requirements of native oak trees, which consist of low amounts of irrigation and adequate space near the trunks where leaf litter accumulation is conducive. The other Protected Tree Species on site have relatively low water requirements and have been situated similarly to the oaks; which is a proper cultural setting. I believe that the conditions are set to allow the Protected Trees to perform very well. Photos are attached with this letter to illustrate the completed landscape. It has been a pleasure working on this project and I feel that all of the existing and new Protected Trees will continue to thrive in the new landscape for many years.
