With the consent of}bo. Himes, aot1on OD his petition for rezoning was delayed for a period of fOUl' to si% weeks, to give Mr. VlhitnaJ.l t1me to study the matter. Pursuant to not1ce Biven, a publio hearing was hhld on the petition of Alonzo O. Delk1n EWd others, requesti1lg a zone varianoe to allow the erection and use of a ohuroh on lots 6'1 to '11, inclusive, !raot No. '1820 1.00ated at the southWest oorner 01' First Avenue and l<'orest AvellUe. Mr. Bone represented the petitioners. Rev. Hildebrand urged that favorable oons1deration be given to ohurches in goneral. Several letters were ," reoe1ved from s1gners of the petition requesting that their names be withdrawn. Several property owners spoke against the petition. W1th the oonsent of the pet11i10ners, Mr. BOlle requested that he be allowed. to withdraw the petition until after the land use survey had been oompleted. Motion by Mr. Diokinson, seoondell by Jir. Strawn and oarried that the withdrawal of the petit10n be aooepted. Stuart Ramblen requested permiSSion to build a stable on lots reoautly purchased b1' h1m on West Foothill Blvd. He wlis advised that if he resided on the lot, the stable oould be ereoted.
