The City Planning Oommission met in adjourned regl1lar meeting with
Ohairman Pike presiding.
PRESENT: Mr. Ji~_, Pike;' Shaw, Sullivan, Bouoher and Watson.
ABSENT: Mr. {-plPfin:. YoUD8, Oorn,yn and Talley.

Motion by Mr. Sullivan, seoonded by Mr. Shaw alii. oarried that the minutes
of the meeting of Augllst 5th be approved as written and mailed.
-< Final map of proposed Traot No. 13365, being the extension of Magna
Vllsta Avenue, was presented and reoommended for approval.
Oammunioation from O. D. Anderson requested oommercial zoning on a paroel
of land at the northeast corner of Las Tunas Drive and El Monte Avenue.
Motion by J.b:o. Shaw, seoonded by Mr. Sullivan and oarried that the matter be
oonsidered in the new zoning plan.
Cammunication from C. D. Anderson requested oommeroial zoning on a paroel
of land at the northwest oorner of Seoond Avenue and Live Oak Avenue. Motion
by Mr. Shaw, seoonded by Mr. Sullivan and oarried that the matter be oonsidered
in the new ~oning plan.
Oommunioation from George Elkins Co. re~ested oommeroial zoning on lot
95, Traot No. 13367, looated at Santa Anita Avenue and Sierra Madre Blvd.
Motion by J.Uo. Sullivan, seoonded by Mr. ~~n and oarried that the matter be

Ii Tentative maps of proposed Traots lio. 15434 and 15498, looated near
Oali:fornia Imd Camino Real, south of Monrovia, were submitted by the Regional
Planning Commission for reoommendation. Motion by Mr. Shaw, seoonded by Mr.
~n and oarried that these traots be reoommended for disapproval, beoause
the lots are too small and the streets too narrow.
Communioation from Gerald H. Jaokson and Mrs. Elsie O. Maloy requested
an R-3 zoning on Diamond Street between Santa Anita Avenue and First Avenue.
Motion by lh. Shaw, seoonded by Mr. Sullivan and oarried that the matter be
oonsidered in the new zoning plan."

Oommunioation from Wallaoe A. young tendered his resignation as a
member of the Commission on aooount of poor health, to beoome effeotive at
onoe. Motion by Mr. ~, seoonded by Mr. Shaw and carried that Mr. Young's
resignation be aooepted with regrets, and that the Seoretary be instruoted to
write Mr. Young thanking him for his oooperation and oontinuous help and work
whUe on the Oommission.

Communioation from Donald A. Barnes, 909 La Cadena Avenue, reCl!lested

Southern raoifio RaUlo'oall. right of way, Motion by llr. Shaw, seoonded by Mr.
Sullivan and oarried that the matter be tabled, and he be noti:fied that his
requst would be oonsidered .'Then a plan for the house was presented by him,
or the new owner.

140 feet. being a part of lot 35. Traot Yo. 2731, on Golden Uest Avenue. be
designated as a building site. Motion by Mr. Shaw. seoonded by Mr. SulllV8ll
and oarried that the matter be referred to the 01ty SDgineer to investigate
and report at the next meeting.
Chairman Pike was authorized to prepare a letter of oondolenoe to the
family of JiIr. Ray M. Diokinson, the same to be given to the press and made a
matter of reoord in the minutes.
