The City P~1ng Commission met in regular meeting with Chairman Anderson presiding. PRESENT: Mr. Anderson, Berky, Robertson, Sorenson, Klomp, Nicklin and Talley. ABSENT: Yr. Knutson, Smith, IVeiokert and Ross. The minutes of the meetingo! September '7th were held fver for possible oorrection by Mr. Knutson. The minutes of the special meeting of September 12th were approved as written and mailed. \ The matter of the application of Robert Payton to divide property at 84 Palm Drive was considered. By written report. City Engineer Ross reoonunended, the granting of the request, provided sewers and water maills suitable to servioe the property are installed. Motion by. Mr. Robertson that the '\request of Robert Payton be granted, and upon motion of the Oommission. that Agnes Earhart and Frederiok McIntosh, owners of property to the east of the Payton property, be granted permission to divide their property, all as shown on map of Briargate Lane submitted by V~. Payton. ~bject to the folloWing conditions: 1. That each owner grant to the other owners an easement for ingress and egress from the property. 2. That an easement for water main and sewer purposes be granted to the City of Aroadia, such easement to be 25 feet wide, with 18 feet paved. 3. That sewers, water mains with fire hydrants, and pavement be installed by the owners. Said motion was seconded by Mr. Sorenson, and carried by the following vote: AYES: Mr. Anderson, Berky, Robertson and Sorenson. NOES: None. ABSENT: ?dr, Knutson, Smith and Weickert. " The appl1oation of Ingegerd Isakson to divide lot 16 and the south 50 feet of lot 17. Block 65, into two lots consisting of the east 70 feet and the west 75 feet of the abOVe described property, was considered. Motion by Mr. Sorenson, seoonded by Mr. Berley and carried that the abave request be granted, subject to the maintaining of the regular setback on both streets, as proposed by the owner. ' Communioation from Alvin A. LaPlant requested permission to build a dwelling and raise and sell flowers on a lot on the north side of the west prOlongation of Los Altos Avenue. The matter was referred to' Mr. Weiokert and Mr. Knutson to investigate and report. The seoretary was instruoted to notify Mr. LaPlant to be present at the next meeting of the Commission. Communioation from Rancho Santa Anita requested that aotion on their request to divide property north of the Arboretum be delayed until all members of the Commission had personally inspected the property, and had the advioe of a oonsultant. I \ Final map of Tract No. 16872, located on First Avenue south of Camino Real, was considered. Motion by Mr. Robertson, seoonded by Mr. Berley and oarried that final approval be recommended, su.bject to the following oonditions: 1. That lots 12 and 13, 21 and 22, 32 and 33, 36 and 38, 3'7 and 39, 42 and 43, 46 and 4'7, 60 and 61, and 64 and 65, shall be oombined and used as one lot eaoh, respeotively. 2. That two feet future street be shown at the nO'rth end of the two dead end streets. 3. That the triangular widened portion of lforman Avenue be subjsot to report from the Title Co. 4. Subject to' all the oonditions as approved with the tentative map on September 7th. r' r L. .,. . . rootion by Mr. Roberts~n that this Commission recommend to the City Counoil that Everett B. Mansu.r, 941 S. Mullen Ave., Los Angeles 19, be employed by this Commission as a Planning Consu.ltant. for a minimum of three days per month, at the rate of ~40 per day, e,ffactive immediately. Said motion was secoZlil.ed by IIr. Berley and carried by the following vote: AYES: Mr. anderson, Berley, Robertson and Sorenson. NOES: None. AB~: Mr. Knutson, Smith and \'feiokert. The seGretary was instructed to notify :trr. llansur and trr, Elliott of the above aotion. lIr. ll11okl1n was requested to obtain a COllY of the San Marino zoning ordinance, as it effects the Pacific Eleotric right of nay.
