The minutes of the meeting of Oatober 19th and "he adjourned meeting of October 26, 1950, were approved as written and mailed. The request of V. R. Clark to divide a lot at 648 \v. Gamino Real was considered. lw. Clark stated that his only reason for wanting the divi- sion was for financine a new building. i.lotion by !.lr. Smith that the re- quest be granted, provided neither lot has less than 57 feet frontage. Said motion was seconded by b~. The request of Harry L. Hufford to divide prOl)erty at the southwest corner of holly Avenue and ~aomi Avenue was considered. Report of nW. Mansur recommending the division was read. !:ir. Report from h~. ~ansur recommended the division. 1.(otion by i.ir. Robertson, seconded by jy;r. Knutson and carried that the request be grantod. Mr. Smith did not vote on the motion. The requests of the Frontier Drive-In and the Lodge Oil 00. for per- mission to install signs were held for study of the entire setback re- quirement sitUation. The request of Jewell Jacks for permission to divide a lot at 2112 S. Sixth "venue was referred Mr. Smith and Lll'. Knutson to investigate. The request of Rena A. lliaxwell, 409 ~ldorado street, for permission to divide and sell the north part of the property faoinG ~ldorado Street vias referred to i.II>. Smith and lur. Knuts'on to investigate. Later in the meeting, Mr. Kaminski, the purchaser of a portion of the property, requested "hat the Title Company be advised of the existance of the Ordin- ance requiring permission to divide property. After further consideration, motion was made by Mr. Robertson, that the application of Rena A. Maxwell be approved, and that the committee named to investigate be set aside. Said motion was seconded by Lir. Smith and carried by the followinG vote: AYES: 1111'. Anderson, Robertson, Smith .and lieiokert. WOES: None. ABSE.NT: !I1r. Berky and Sorenson. NOT VOTING: r~. Knutson. ~ . . Communication was read from E. R. GOdfrey, President of the ~,ood- ruff Private Roads Association, complainine; of the existance of a fac- tory of some description operating on El Monte Avenue between i,ood- ruff Avenue and Palm Drive, in Zone R-l. The Secretary was instructed to reply to the letter and refer the matter to the City Council. Hotioe of a pUblic hearing before the Regional Planning Commission on the question of rezoning certain property near Live Oak Avenue and Tyler Avenue was read. r.jr. Anderson voluteered to attend the meeting. Final map of Tr~ct No. 16592 and 16593, located north of Palm Drive and west of Santa Anita Avenue, were submitted for approval. ~otion by j~. Smith,seconded by JJr. Anderson and oarried that final approval be recommended, provided a two foot strip be dedicated for "Future street" at the east end of Birchcroft Street, in Tract No. 16593. !;II'. \,eickert did not vote on "Che approval of these t170 tracts. Communication from ~quip. Rent Co., 82 Vi. Las Tunas Drive, requested a two year extension of their zoning variance, on account of the ex- pense to be incurred in paving their lot. The Chairman declared a five minute recess to allow Lw. Nicklin time to check the provisions of Reso- lution No. 2002 which granted the variance. Upon reconvening, Ww. Nicklin stated, that in his opinion, such extension of time could only be sranted by a new zone variance. City Attorney Nicklin presented and read Jesolution No. 35, reco- mmending the denial of the application of Carl L. Foley for zone vari- ance on property at San Rai'ael and San j,jiguel. ~jotion by iIlI'. Robert- son that Resolution No. 35 be adopted. Said motion was seconded by i:lr. City Attorney Hicklin presented and read Resolution No. 36 recom- mending the granting of the application of Ingegerd Isakson for a zone variance to allow automobile parking on certain proper"Cy on Christina Street. Motion by ~~. ~nllth that Resolution No. 36 be adopted, subject to "Che Resolution providing that no char2;e be made for the parking. Said motion was seconded by bw.
