The City Planning Commission met in regular meeting with Chairman Anderson presiding. PRESENT: Mr. Anderson, Berky, Knutson, Robertson, Smith, Sorenson, Weickert, Klomp, Newell, Ross, Mansur and Talley. None ABSENT : The minutes of the meeting of November 2nd, 1950, were approved as written and mailed. The request of Jewell Jaoks, 2112 S. Sixth Avenue, to divide the North 107.45 feet of the South 325.80 feet of the West 286.91 feet of lot 124, Arcadia Acreage Tract, in two lots, being the South 65 feet and the North 72.45 feet of the above described property, was con- sidered. On aocount of the depth and area of the proposed lots, motion was made by Mr. Knutson, seoonded by Mr. Smith and carried that the request be granted. The request of H. R. Hobson to divide the North 100 feet of the South 229.66 feet of lot 142, Tract No. 2731, located on Sunset Boulevard, into two 50 foot lots, was referred to Mr. Berky and Mr. Smith to investigate. The request of Magnus L. Jensen to divide lot 91, Tract No. 2731, located at 1023 Arcadia Avenue, into two lots, being the west 60 feet and the east 80 feet, was referred to Mr. Berky and Mr. Smith to investigate. Final map of Tract No. 15073, located on First Avenue north of Orange Grove Avenue, was presented for approval. Motion by Mr. Smith, seconded by Mr. Weickert and carried that final approval be recommended, subject to all requirements of the Engineering Department. Mr. Elmer Howell, Stl\te president of "Equestrian Trails", addressed the Commission relative to the proposed riding and hiking trail along the Santa Anita Wash. Mr. Paul Little of the County Parks and Recreation Commission agreed to furnish necessary maps of the trail. The Secret~y was instructed to give notice of a public hearing on the matter of the trail, to be held before the Commission on December7th, 1950. The matter of the request of the Lodge Oil Company for per- mission to replace a sign now existing on the northeast corner of Duarte Road and Baldwin Avenue was considered. Motion by ~. Smith, seconded by Mr. Robertson and carried that this Commission-recommend that the Lodge Oil Company request be granted, with the understanding that the sign will be removed at the expense of the owner at such time as either Duarte Road or Baldwin Avenue is widened at that location. Mr. Mansur and Mr. Talley were requested to investigate the request of the Frontier Drive-In for permission to install a new sign. Motion by Mr.Robertson, seconded by 1~.
