In the absence of Chairman Anderson. and pursuant to action taken October 21st, 1948, ~. Robertson, senior member present, presided as 8~airman ~ro-tem. :"lU!1SZli'f: 1I::r. Berky, Robertson, Sorenson, ',feickert, l:ansur, Hicklin, Ross and Talley. ABSENT: 1:r. Anderson, Smith and Klomp. The minutes of the meeting of April 10, 1951, were ordered amended as follows: "In the absence of Chairman anderson, and yursuant to action taken October 21st, 1948, Mr. Smith, senior member present. presided as Chairman pro-tem." ITith this amendment, they were ordered approved as written and mailed. ~MaP of a lot split for S. Grant Young on Claridge Street was approved subjeot to the easement being paved 20 feet wide and sewer oonnections be- ing installed to eaoh lot. Applioation of Lem Ward and E. N. Lindgren to divide property at the south end of Briar Gate Lane was consideied. Motion by 1:r. ITeickert, seconded by Mr. Berky and carried that the matter be held and referred to the City Engineer, the Fire Chief and 1:r. Mansur for investigation and report. \ Applioation of Fr~oes Penprase to divide property at 379 IT. Duarte Rd. was discussed. lJr. Berky stated that he would not favor a change of set- back. also that the proposed division would not provide suffioient rear yard. Motion by lli. Berky, seconded by l"::r. Sorenson and carried that the proposed division, as submitted, be denied. .i,Application of i1llliam P. Armstrong to divide property at 634 ll. Norman Avenue was considered. ~otion by J~. ~orenso~, seconded by ~. Berky and carried that t~e division be ~llowed, as follows: The east half and the west half of lot 36, Tract No. 4869, provided an existing building be moved to at least three feet from the new lot line in the center of lot 36. I Applioation of W. W. Bell for permission to divide property at 516 &. Longden Avenue was discussed. Motion by Mr. Sorenson, seconded by lAr. Berky and carried that the applioation be denied, and that this Commission recom- mend that the matter be referred to an engineer or surveyor to work out a solution. Final map of Tract No. 14138, looated on Santa Anita avenue south of Grand View Avenue, was submitted and considered. Motion by 1~. Sorenson, seconded by Mr. Berky and carried that approval be recommended, subject to the following conditions: 1. That a suitable name for the east-west street be submitted to the City ili1gineer. 2. That ~vo feet "Future Street" be shown at the west end of the East- west street, and at the north end of El Vista Circle. Mr. \ieickert did not take part .in the discussion nor the vote on tJlis tract. Tentative map of ~ract ro. 16102, looated in County territory, was submitted for recommendation. The Secretary was instructed to notify the Regional Planning Commission that the tract is reoommended for denial, as it does not meet Arcadia standards. ~ -1- ~ .-.. . . Motion by Yr. Weiokert, seoonded by 1~. Sorenson and carried that this Commission approve the report of the Modifioation Committee reoommending approval of the looation of the dwellings on lots 5, 6 and 7, Traot No. 16872, looated on ITistaria ~venue, subject to oompletion of arrangements with the adjoining property owner to move existing chicken equipment. The Secretary read Resolution No. 2133 of the City Council, instruct- ing this Commission to hold public hearings on the proposed amendment of Section 13, and Section 15, Part A, Subsection 4, Subdivision c of Zonin~ Ordinance No. 760. City ~ttorney Hioklin presented and read Resolution No. 46 deolaring the intention of the Commission to hold public hearings on the proposed amendment of Section 16, Part 1, Subdivisions A and B of Ordinance No. 760, and setting the time for both of the above hearings as May 22 and June 12, 1951. Motion by Mr. l'ieiokefit, seoonded by Mr. Berky and oarried that Resolution No. 46 be adopted. The Chairman appointed Hr. Anderson and Mr. Sorenson to work with the Seoretary in the preparation of a proposed budget for the year 1951-52. r.~otion by ~r. \/eickert, seoonded by U.
