NOleon, 41 Haven Avenue all spoke in favor of the change, lJtating that it

of more dwelling units. No ons spoke against the change, and no communications

of the purchase of property for a echool site on the north eide' ot Elkins
Avenue at the northerly prolongation of Higbland Oske Driw, in ucord.ance
lYith Section 18403 of the Education Code. Mr. Egly stated that in view of
proposed deV8!oplllllnte in the area, and over-orowding in the Higllland Oake
School. it. Bppeal'e that a school' for approxi.ma:tely 300 children 'Jill be needed
by September, 1955. The matter of water supply wae diecuBeed, and !Jr. Rogers
stated that a eatisfactory solution Wt\8 probable. trotion by Mr. Balser,

locatioh Eor a school. It was al~ requested tbat the School Board provide
aocess to a site to the north now being considered by the City of Arcadia as
a proposed rscreational area. Mr. Egly assured the COllIDIission that the re-

of Fairview Avenue, and grant a variance with limited Ro3 uses. Mr. Nicklin
st~ed that such action would require the filing of a new petition, but ad-
vieed against such l1Otion until final action on the present pstition ho.s been
taken by the City Council.
Mr. !.larke, of Aroadia-Monrovia Rea;Lty. read a letter reque sting that

to 1.25. The letter was filed with the secretary.

Chairmen Knopp nad a letter from the City Manager notifying of a
public hearing on December 1st on the matter 0.1' setback changes on Colorado
Place for tho construction of eigne, and requesting that ths Planning
Commission be represented at the hearing.
City Attorney Nicklin pressnted and read Resolution No. 130 recollllllOnd-
ing that the City CollIlCU instruct ths City Manager and Depart.1lI6nt Heads,
with the coopemtionof the l'lanning Commission, to prepare an overall p1sn
for the Mure development of the civic center site. I!otion by Mr. Balsor,
seconded by Mr. Pratt and carried that Resolution No. 130 be adopted.
