A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, RECOMMENDING THE
DENIAL OF A PETITION FOR THE RE-ZONING OF
CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY, LOCATED AT OR NEAR
BALDWIN AVENUE AND DUARTE ROAD, IN SAID CITY.
THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, on the 22nd of July, 1949, there was filed
with this Commission the petition of Glenn M. Dysart, request-
ing the re-zoning of the following described real property in
the City of Arcadia, to wit:
The West one-half of lot 6, Tract No. 4090, as shown
on map recorded in Book 43, page 47 of Maps, records
of Los Angeles County, excepting the North 150 feet
thereof, to be changed from Zone R-2(Two-family Zone)
to Zone C-2 (General Commercial Zone) (The above
described property is the rear portion of the lot
known as 606 West Duarte Road~.
and
VnIEREAS, after due notice, as required by the provisions
of Ordinance No. 760, of the City of Arcadia, a public hearing
was duly held on the matter before this Commission on the 18th
day of ~ugust, 1949, and all interested parties were given a
fu&l opportunity to be heard, and
WHEREAS, in the opinion of this Commission, the proposed
re-zoning of the aforesaid property would be det>>imental to the
public welf'are and injurious to surrounding property, and would
adversely ai'fect the Comprehensive General Plan of this City,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Commission
recommends to the City Council of the City of Arcadia that the
aforesaid petition be disapproved and denied for the following
reasons :
