RESOLUTION NO. 22
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMEND-
ING THE GRAWfING OF A PETITION FOR REZONING OF
CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY LOCATED ON FOREST AVENUE,
FROM ZONE B-1 TO ZONE l'R-2.
THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF 'fHE CITY OF ARCADIA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

W11EREAS, there was filed with this Commission a petition
requesting the rezoning of the following described real property
in the City of Arcadia, to wit:
The east 45 feet of Lot 72, and all of the vacated alley
adjacent thereto on the east, in Tract No. 7820, as per
map recorded in Book 83, Page 30 of Maps, records of the
Office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County;
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by the provisions
of Ordinance No. 760 of the City of Arcadia, a public hearing was
duly held on the matter before this Commission on February 2nd,
1950, and all interested parties were given a full opportunity to
be heardj and

WHEREAS, in the opinion of this Commission, the proposed
rezoning of the aforesaid property would not be detrimental to the
public welfare, nor injurious to surrounding property and would
not adversely affect the comprehensive general plan of this Cityj
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Commission recom-
mend to the City Council of the City of Arcadia that the aforesaid
petition be approved and granted, for the following reasons:
1. Land use should be rezoned by the Planning Commission
and the City Council in the event that such rezoning is indicated
and required by public necessity and convenience and the general
welfare. In the opinion of this Commission public necessity and
convenience and the general welfare indiCate the desirability of,
and require the rezoning requested by petitioner, since such re-

recommends to the City Council of the City of Arcadia that the
aforesaid petition be approved and granted. subject to the fo1-
lowing conditions:
1. That the aforementioned property be suitably fenced;
2. That a suitable building. approximately twenty feet
by twenty-four feet (20' x 24') be constructed on said property and
maintained thereon for the storage and housing of ama11 tools;
3. That no track-laying tractors or dump trucks be kept.
rented. handled or used upon the premises;
4. That any trailers rented shall be DO greater than
twelve (121) feet in length;
5. That no repair work. other than incidental repairs
to equipment rented thereon, shall be done or performed;
6. That any variance granted by the City Council herein
shall be limited to a period of three years on and after the ef-
fective date of the Ordinance granting such variance.
The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of this Reso-
lution and shall forward a copy to the City Council of the City
of Arcadia.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
adopted by the City Planning COlllllJission at a regular meeting held
on the 2nd day of March. 1950, by the following votes:
AYES: Mr. Anderson, Knutson, Robertson, Smith and
Vle1ckert.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Mr. Davis.
