RESOLUTION NO. 34.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIroR.NIA, RECOMMENDING.THE
GRANTING OF A ZONE VARIANCE AFFECTING CERTAIN REAL
PROPERTY LOCATED IN SAID CITY TO PERMIT THE OPERA-
TION OF A :flAY NURSERY THEREON.
THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA,
CAr. IFORNIA. DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS roLLOWS:
WHEREAS. on the 21st day of September. 1950. there was
filed 1!1. th this Commission. the petition of the Arcadia Non-Profit
Nursery Sohool Association, requesting a zone variance on the fol-
lowing described property in the City of Aroadia, to wit:

WHEREAS, after notice required by Ordinanoe No. 760 of
said City, a public hearing on the matter was held before this Com-
mission on the 5th day of Ootober. 1950, and ell interested 111 rties

were given a full opportunity to be heard thereat, at whioh said
hearing numerous persons spoke in behalf of said application. the
only protest being by letter of Arline Edythe Saylin. an adjoining
property owner:
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved, that this Commission make
the following findings end the following recollUUendations to the City
Council of the City of Arcadia:
l. That there was only one protest against said applica-
tion, to wit. that by letter of Arline Edythe Saylin: that said
prctest was directed exclusively against the use of said protestant's
adjoining property for the purposes of ingress to and egress from the
property desoribed in said spplioation.
2. That the property desoribed in said application may,
by reason of' a zone variance. be used for general churoh purposes.

right of the applioan~for the reason that with proper separation
and landsoaping the adjoining C-2 use would not unduly and un-
reasonably interfere with the use of applicants' property for
single family purposes.
3. That there are no exoeptional or extraordinary
oiroumstanoes applicable to the property involved, other than the
faot that applicants' property is adjacent to property 2Dned C-2.
4. That numerous residents and property owners in the
vicinity of the applicants' property have protested against the
granting of applicants' request and the written protest of 18
such owners and residents is on file with this Commission; that
this Commission finds that the granting of applicants' petition
. would adversely affect the residential property in the same
vicinity and zone.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that this Commission recoIlllDend to the
Oity Council of the City o:f Arcadia, that said applicants' petition
.
for a 2D ne variance be denied.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the Secretary shall oertify to the
adoption of this Resolution, and shall fonard a copy of the same
to the City Counoil of the City of Aroadia.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the :foregoing Resolution was adopted
by the City Planning Commission at a regular meeting held on the 2nd
day of November, 1950, by the following votes:
