A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF ARCADIA. CALIFORNIA, REOOMJ.IENDING THE GRANTING
OF A ZONE VARIANCE AFFEcrING CERTAm REAL PROPERTY IN
SAID CITY TO PERMIT DEVIATION JiROJ.! CERTAIN REAR YARD

THE CITY PLANNING CO!IMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA.
CALIFORNIA. DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS roI.I.aYS I
WHEREAS, on the 9th dq of March. ]951. there was filed with this
ColllDlission the petition of ROGERS A. WITT AND THEDA WITT, as OtIIlerB request-
ing a zone variance on the follaring described property in the City of
ArCadia. to witl

A part of Lot 2. Tract 14846, as shOtlIl on map recorded in
Book 314. pages 8 and 9 of' maps, reoords of Los Angeles
County. described as f'01l01f'S I
Beginning at a point in the curved west line of said lot.
distant 101.55 feet Northerly from the Southern terminus
of that certain curve having a radius of' 840 feet. thence
North 79007'19- East 150.02 feet; thence North 16634'18U
West 71.81 feet; thence South 76033'14" West 146.61 feet;
thence Southerly 65 feet to the point of' beginning, located
at 718 - 720 S. Sunset Blvd.,
To permit the construction thereon of a carport wall of eight
(8u) inch concrete blocks one (1') from the rear lot line; and
WHEREAS. after notice required by Ordinance No. 760 of said City.
a public hearing on the matter was held by and before this Commission on the
27th dq of' March. 1951. and all interested parties were given a f'ull
opportunity to be heard thereat;
NaN, '!'~ORE. be it resolved that this commission make the follow-
ing recommendations to the City Council of' the City of' Arcadial
1. That there were no protests oral or written. to the granting

of the aforesaid petition. That the statements contained on Page 2 of said
application are substantially true.
2. That the granting of the varianoe requested will not be in-
consistent with good plmming practice nor the provisionsof' the Master Zone
Plen nor the present development of the neighborhood in which said property
will
is located nor/the granting of the variance adversely affect the Com-
prehensive General Plen.
3. That such variance is necessary for the preservation and en-

4. That for the above reasons, this Commiss:ton recommend to the
City Council of the C1ty of Arcadia that a variance for th'9 constI'1J.ct::.on

granted.
The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution
and shall forward a copy to the City CoWlcil of the City of Arcadia.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted by the
City Planning ColDIDission at. a reguJ.ar meeting held on the 27th dllY' of March.
