CALIFORNIA, REOOMI.IF.tIDING THE GRANTING OF A ZONE VARIANCE AFFECTING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY LOCATED IN SAID CITY TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCl'ION AND OPERATION OF A PUBLIC SCHOOL THEREON. THE CITY PLANNING roMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA. CALIFORNIA. DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FO:r.ImS: WHEREAS, on the 13th dq of March. 1951. this Commission did on its 0IItl motion initiate proceedings for the granting of a variance on the following described property in the City of Arcadia. to wit: A part of Lot 3. Tract No. 950. as shawn on map reoorded in Book 17. page 2; of maps I records of Los Angeles county I des- cribed as tollows I . Beginning at a point in the Southerly line of said lot distant South 81000' West 263.24 feet from the Southeasterly corner of said lot; thence South 81000' West 9;2.;1 feet; thence North 615.12 teet; thence East 940.78 feet; thenoe South 466.12 feet to the point of beginning. being a parcel of land ~ between Huntington place and Duarte Road and located West of Santa Anita Avenue. WHEREAS. after notice required by Ordinance No. 760 of said City I a public hearing on the matter was held before this Comm:iBsion on the 27th dq of March. 19;1, and all interested parties were given a 1'ull opportunity to be heard thereat; Na.Y I THEREFORE. be it resolved. that this Commission make the following findings and the follOlt'ing rec01llDl6ndations to the City council of the Ci-ty of Arcadia: 1. That said property is adjacent to an extensive park on the North through ",hich there is not and cannot be I1l'iY access. That this fact makes the property more suitable for a public school site. . 2. That the granting of the variance herein recommended will not be inconsistent with good planning practice or the provisions of the Master Zoning Plan. or with the present development in the neighborhood in which said property is located. nor will the granting of the variance as herein- after reco_ended adversely affect the Comprehensive General Plan. 3. That such variance is neoessary for the preservation and en- joyment of substantial property rights of the owner and that the grantiIlg of the variance herein recollllll6l\ded will not be materially detrimental to /: " /} ;' 1'! . . . .In .
