A R~SOLUTION OF THE CITY PLAliNING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF ARCADIA. CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING
THE GRANTING OF A PETITION FOR THE RECLASSIFI-
CATION FROM ZONE R-l TO ZONE R-3 ON CERTAIN
REAL PROPERTY IN SAID CITY.
THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA.
CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY FIND AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That on the lOth day of July, 1951, there was
filed with this Commission the petition of George Weyman Marks.
oopartner of Arcadia-Monrovia Realty. as owner, requesting a change
of zone from Zone R-l to Zone R-3 on t;he following desoribed property
in the City of Arcadia. to wit:
Part of Lot 6, Tract No. 948, as shown on map recorded in
Book 17. Page 21 of Maps. Records of Los Angeles County,
described as follows:
Commencing at t;he intersection of the North line of Colo-
rado Boulevard with the West line of Santa Anita Avenue;
thence North 450.93 feet; thence West 1056.93 feet to the
Southwesterly line of said lot; thence Southeasterly thereon
725.43 feet to the North line of Colorado Boulevard; thence
East thereon 466.68 feet to the point of beginning, except-
ing the East 300 feet t;hereof.
that after due notice as required by t;he provisions of Ordinance
.
No. 760 of the City of Arcadia. a public hearing was duly held on the
matter before this Commission on the 24th day of July. 1951, and
again on the 14th day of August. 1951; that all interested persons
were given a full opportunity to be heard and to present evidence
at each of said hearings; that there was no protest, oral or written,
at either of said hearings, against the requested reclassification.
SECTION 2. That in the opinion of this Commission. the
proposed reclassification of the aforesaid property would not be
detrimental to the public welfare, nor injurious to the surrounding
