HomeMy WebLinkAbout0065 . . . RESOLUTION NO. 65 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA. CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING THE CLASSIFICATION OF THE BUSINESS OF MATTRESS RENOVATING AND REBUILDING. WHEREAS, Mrs. Franoes Shick, as co-owner of Eeonomw Mattress Shop. is desirous of operating a business of mattress renovating and rebuilding in the City of Arcadia; and. WHEREAS. The business of mattress renovating and rebuilding is neither specirically mentioned nor generally described in or among the uses perm! tte~ in any zone in the Ci ty of Areadia under Ordinance No. 760 of the City of Areadia; and, WHEREAS, said Mrs. Frances Shiok has in effect, by letter dated February 21. 1952. requested a classification of the business . of mattress renovating and rebuilding; and, . WHEREAS. the City Planning Commission has investigated the matter, received evidenoe and fully considered the matter. and finds that it is advisable and necessary that such business be classified. NOW, THEREFORE. the Ci~ Planning Commission of the city of Aroadia does hereby determine and resolve that the business of mattress renovating and rebuilding shall be classified as a use permissible in Zone M-l under Section 11 of Ordinance No. 760 of tl'1e Oity of' Arcadia. RESOLVED FURTHER. that the Seoretary shall oertify to the adoption of this Resolution, and shall forward a copy of the same to the City Council of the City of Arcadia. I ~y CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted by the City Planning Commission at a regular meeting held on the 8th day of April. 1952, by the following vote: AYES: NOES : ABSENT : Hr. That the foregoing conditions constitute exceptional circumstances not similarly applicable to all property in the same zone. 6. That for the foregoinf; reasone, the Commission reconmends to the Ci ty Council that the variance requested be granted upon the following express conditions: A. That all poultry be slaughtered and dressed immediately upon its arrival at the location. B. That no poultry be slaughtered and dressed except that w;'lioh is to be sold in the conduct of the retail dressed poultry business on the premises immedi- ately adjacent thereto. C. Tha" said '7ariance be limited to a p~riod of three (3) years. D. That no live poultry be k~pt on said premises. E. That all ordinances and reeulations of the City of Arcadia referring . to the slaughter ani dressing of poultI'j' be at all times strictly complied ~rith. F. That each of the foregoing conditions shall be interdependent each upon the other; the violation of anyone or more of said conditions shall con- stitute grounds fOT tile immediate cancellation of the variance hereby recommended. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of the Resolution and shall forward a copy to the City Council of the City of Arcadia.
