HomeMy WebLinkAbout0087 , . . . t RESOLUTION NO. 87 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF TIlE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDIID TIlE RE- CLASSIFICATION FROM ZONE R-l TO ZONE R-3 OF CERTAIN REAL PRDPERrY IN SAID CITY. WHEREAS, the C1ty Pl,,"niYlg COIIIIIIission of the City of Arcadia clid on the 8th ~ of J~, 1952, adopt its Resolution No. 76 whereby proceedings were inst:i:tuted to hold public hearings for the oonsideration and possible re-classif'ication of the property on the northerly and southerly sides of Arcaclia AveDl1e between Sunset Boule- vard and the West City Boundar7, being lots 94 to 103, inclusive, of Tract No. 2731 as shown on map recorded in Book 33, page 29 of Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Los Angeles, California, from Zone R-l to Zone R-3; and WHEREAS, after due notice as required by the provisions of Ordinance No. 760 of the City of Arcadia, publio hearings were duly held on the matter by and , before this COIIIIIIission on the 12th and 26th ~ of August, 1952, at which thles all interested persons were given a !ull opportunity to be heard and to present evidence. NCIi, THEREFORE, the C1ty Planning COIIIIJIission of the City of Arcadia does hereby find, determine and resolve as foll!lifS: SECTION 1. That there Was but one protest to the proposed re-classif1cation of said real property from Zone R-l to Zone R-3, upon the ground that the re-classi- 1'ication should not be granted until provisions were made for the opening of a street along the rear of the properties on the southerly s1de of Arcaclia Avemte; that the proposed re-classification of said property will not be detrimental to the public 'IIelfare nor injurious to the surrounding properties and will not adversely affect the comprehensive general plan of the City or Arcadia; that the property within the City of Arcadia immBcliately surrounding the subject property is alrea~ toned as ,. , Zone R-3; that there is no foreseeable possibility of opening a street to the rear of the subjeot property; that the public oonvenience and general welfare ind:l.eate the desirability of the proposed re-olassifioationJ that the proposed re-classif1- cation will be beneficial to the subject property and will not be detrimental to the properties in the same vicinity, but will result in the harmonious and s:lmn..~ development of the entire general area. -J..o Rl"j '-" 01 . . . . .
