hereby determine and resolve as followSI
SECTION 1. That there were no protests to the granting of the proposed
variance. That sud property is properly located and well suited for a public
school and has heretofore been approved as a school site by this Commission.
That ths granting of the variance as herein recommended will not be inconsistent
with good planning practice or the provisions of ths MaErter Zoning Plan, or with
the present development of the neighborhood in which said property is located,
.
nor will the granting of the variance as hereinafter recommendsd adversely affsct
the comprehensive general plan. That such variance is necsssary for the preser-
vat ion and enjoyment of subErtantial property rights in that the owner is the

by the fact that adjacent properties have been and are now in the
course of being subdivided and boinb developed for single family
use. That the granting of the requested variance is not necessar:
for the prote~tion or preservation of substantial property rights
in that a variance for limited commercial uses has heretofore
been granted with respect to said property and is still in effect,
and for the further reaSon that the property is suitable for and
~apable of being used for the purposes permitted by the basic
zoning applicable thereto. That the granting of the variance re-
quested would be injuriOUS and detrimental to the adjacent and
surro~ding properties in the Vicinity and to the improvements
thereonj that the further extension of the commercial uses presently
permitted on subje~t property is neither necessary nor advisable.
3. That for the foregoinz reasons this Commission re-
comnends to the City Council of the City of Arcadia that the said
pet1tion for a zone variance be denied.
The Secretary shall certify to the adoption or this
Resolution, and ~hall forward a copy or the same to the City
Council of the City of J~cadia.
