Milliken and Frank G. Goble as owners, requestina ~ zone vAriance to perre1t the following described property, to-wit: That portion of Lot I of Tract No.949, in the nity of A~cadiR, C'ounty of Los An~eles, State of California, as shown on map rocorded in Book 17, paGe 13 of l~ps, Ln the affine of the nounty Recorder of said C'ountYi also, a portion of Colorado Street vacated, as des- cr~bed in Ordinance No.233 of said City of Arcadia and recorded in Book 9568, page 282 of Offirinl Re- nards, of said ~ounty, described as a whole as follows: BEGinning at a point in the northerly line of said lot I, said point being the Westerly ternination of that curve in the Northerly line of Colorado street (80 feet in width), as described in deed to said City of Arcad~a and recorded in Book 9396, page 145 of Official Records of sald COQ~ty, as being concave to the soutb- west and haVinG a center line radius of 716.78 f~ot and a length nf 751.29 feet; thence Southeasterly along the curved Northeasterly line of said Colorado Street, a distance of 678.04 fget to a point (a radial line to said point bears North 51 47' 04" EIU:t)i thence N 5602l"15" E. 508.08 feet, more or less, to a point in the Northerly 11he of said Lo t I, said paint being die tan t S 89033 I no II E aloDg the North line of said Lot 1, 1012.23 foet from the point of beg1nningi thence r: 89033' 00" If alone; said Northerly line of Lot I, 1012.23 feet to the poL~t of the begi~"ling, to be used for the operation of a gen6ral commercial Nursery thereon as more specifically set forth in said application; and WIIEREAS, after notice required by Ordinance No.76o of saie City a pUblic hearing was duly held on the matter by and before thle Commission on the 13th day of January, 1953, at which time all interested persons were given a full opportunity to be heard and to present evidence; NOIf, THEREFORE, the City Planning Commission of the City of Arcadia does hereby find, deterc1ne and resolve as follows: 1 - That there was severe objection to the granting of the requested variance by the owner of the subdivision adjacent theretn. 2 - That the property surrounding the subject propert~ is zoned for single family dwellings, and has been developed for or ts in the course of development for sinGle family use.
