A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIl'QRNIA.. RECOMMENDING THE GRANT-
ING OF A ZONE VARIANCE AFFECTING CERTAIN REAL PRO-
PERTY IN SAID CITY TO PERMI'l' '!'HE CONSTRUCTION AND
MAIH'rENANCE THEREON OF BUILDINGS FOR LIMllTED COM-
MERCIAL PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, on June 1, 1953, there was tiled with this Co.-1ssion
the petition of Buron Fitt8 and Marian Fitts aa owners, requeetlng
a sonw variance aftectlng the tollow1ng descrlbed real property:
A part ot Lot 10, Tract No. 13487 , 8S shown on
map recorded ln Book 272, Pages 1 4 and 15 ot Mapa.. re-
corda of Los Angeles Count1', described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the Northerly 11ne ot eaid
lot.. distant thereon North 59-26'44" Eaat 113.06 teet tro.
the ~et Westerly corner of sald Lot; thence South 41-50'
30" East 232.52 teet to the true point ot beginning;
thence continuing South 41-50120" East 34.93 teet; thence

ColoradO Boulevard at ita intersection With Colorado Place,
to permit the same to be used tor the construction and malntenance ot
a buildlng or bu11d1ngs for limited commercla1 purposes other than
retail sales of goods or merchandise. and more particularly def1ned
as offices for business, medical or other professional purposes,
including automobile parking in connection therewith; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by Ordinance No. 760
ot said City a public hearing on the matter was held by and oefore
~ this Commission on June 23, 1953, at which time all interested per-
sons were given a full opportunit1' to be heard and to present evidence.

NOW,THEREFORE, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Arcadia does hereby f1nd, determine and resolve as followS:
SECTION 1. That there were no protests to the granting ot
the variance-requested. That the subject'property is alread1' subject
to a variance for a restaurant, cocktail lounge and oft-street park-
ing.
That applicants have reque8ted the

necessary nor advisable. That there are no exceptional circumstances
. applicable to the SUbject property.
SECTION 3. That for the foregoing reasons this Commission
recommends to the City Council of the City of Arcadia that "he said
petition for a zone variance be denied.
The Secretary shall certit;v to the adoption of this Re-
solution and shall forward a copy to the City Council of the City of
Arcadia.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted
by the City Planning Commission at a regular meeting held on the 28th
day of July, 1953, by the following vote:
AYES: Commissioners Anderson, Balser, Berky, Knopp, Pratt
Robertson and Sorenson
