DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO INSTITUTE PROCEEDINGS FOR THE CONSIDERATION OF AND MAKING RECOMMENDATIONS CONCERNING THE AMENDMENT OF SECTIONS 9 AND 16 OF ORDINANCE NO. 760 OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA BY DESIGNATING FUNERAL PARLORS AND MORTUARIES AS A SPECIAL USE INSTEAD OF A USE PERMISSIBLE IN ZONE C-2. THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA. CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: . SECTION 1. That the publiC health. welrare and conven- ience or the City of Arcadia and the inhabitants thereor require the consideration and the institution of proceedings relative to the amendment of Sections 9 and 16 of Ordinance No. 760 of the City of Arcadia by excluding the maintenance and operation of run- eral par~ and mortuaries from the u~pe~issible in Zone C-2 under Section 9 of said Ordinance No. 760 and designating the maintenance and operation of funeral parlors and mortuaries as a special use permissible under Section 16 of said Ordinance No. 760 as presently in erfect, or as a special use permissible under Section 17 as heretofore recommended to the City Council and pre- sently thus under consideration by said Council. SECTION 2. That Tuesday, the 23rd day of March. 1954, at the hour of 8:00 O'clock p.m., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 240 West Huntington Drive. Arcadia, Cal ifornia, is hereby fixed and determined as the day. hour and place of the ~ hearing for the consideration of said matters. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall cause to be published notice of the date. place and purpose of said hearing in the manner required by law.
