RESOLUTION NO. 297 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMlUSSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CAL::FORNIA, RECOMMENDING THE CLASSIFICATION OF :;ERTAIl~ CITY- OWNIm HEAL PHOPERTY ON LIVE OAK AVENUE. WHEREAS, the City of Arcadia is the OVITler of the follow- ing described real property in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, to wit: That portion of Lot 126 of Arcadia Acreage Tract as shOlm on map recorded in Book 10, page IB, of Maps, in the office of the Re- corder of Los Angeles County, described as follows: . . Beginning at the lntersection of the south- erly lot line of said Lot 126 with the west- erly line of the easement for flood control purposes described in deed to the Los Angeles County Flood Control District, recorded in Book 17363, page 299, of Official Records of said county; thence 50 feet more or less westerly along the southerly lot line of said Lot 126 to the boundarJr line of the City of Arcadia; thence northerly 131.27 feet more or less along a line parallel with the westerly lot line of said Lot 126 to an angle point in said bou.ndary line; thence easterly along a line par'allel with the northerly line of said Lot 126 to the westerly line of the last men- tioned flood control easementj thence south- erly along said vresterly line to the point of beginnir~; except therefrom the southerly 15 feet th€:reof, as measured at right angles to the sout;herly line of said Lot 126; and, vlliEREAS, said property is presently unzonedj and, WHEREAS" the City Council is contemplating the sale thereof and has requested this Commission to make recommendations concernins . . the proper zoning thereof, in the event said property should pass into private owneJ~shipj and, WHEREAS.. by reason of the foregoing, this Commission did on its own motion under and pursuant to its Resolution No. 286 adopted May 13, 1958, institute proceedinss for the consideration of and making recommendations concerning the classification of said property; and, -1- 297 - "' . ~. . . ltffiEREAS, after notice as required by Ordinance No. 760 of said City, as amended, a public hearing was duly held on the matter by and before this Commission on the lOth day of June, 1958, at which time all int~~rested persons were given a full opportunity to be heard and to pr~~sent evidence; NOW, THEHEFORE, THE CITY PLANNING COMlvIISSION HEREBY DETER- MINES AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That there were no protests eithel' oral or wri tten to the pro:~osed c lassifica tion for commercial purposes. That the above described property is a small lot with a 50 foot frontage on Live Oak Avenue making it suitable for commercial pur- . . poses. SECTION 2. That for t~e foregoing reasons this Commis- sion recommends to the City Council that the property hereinabove described be classified and placed in Zone C-2. SECTION 3. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall cause a copy of the same to be for- warded to the City Council of the City of Arcadia. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Planning Commission held on the lOth day of June, 1958, by the following vote: AYES: Commissioners Acker, Davison, Forman, Michler and Vachon . .
