RESOLUTION NO. 284 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING THE RECLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY ON THE EAST SIDE OF SECOND AVENUE NEAR LIVE OAK AVENUE IN SAID CITY FROM ZONE C-l TO ZONE R-3. vniEREAS, tentative approval for the division of certain real property, located on the east side of Second Avenue near Live Oak Avenue in the City of Arcadia, has been given by the Planning Commission and the City Council of the City of Arcadia; and, WHEREAS, one of the conditions of said tentative approval is the reclassification from Zone C-I to Zone R-3 of a portion of . said real property in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of California, to wit: A part of Lot 55, Tract No. 132l7, as shown on map recorded in Book 264, pages 26 and 27, of r1aps, in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County, described as follows: Beginning at the Northwest corner of said Lot 55, thence North 80009'15" East a distance of of 194.35 feet, to the Northeast corner of said lot; thence South on the Easterly line of said Lot 55 a distance of 18.89 feet; thence South 85029'36" West a distance of 183.22 feet; thence South 89004'45" West 12 feet to point of be- ginning, except that portion lying within Second Avenue; and, WHEREAS, the property hereinabove described is intended to be used in conjunction with and as a part of property adjacent on 4It the north already zoned R-3; and, WHEREAS, by reason of the foregoing, this Commission did, on its own motion, under and pursuant to its Resolution No. 280, adopted March 25, 1958, institute proceedings for the consideration -l- 284 ,"v.. . . . . of and making recommendations concerning the reclassification of said property from Zone C-l to Zone R-3; and, WHEREAS, after notice as required by Ordinance No. 760 of said City, as amended, a public hearing was duly held on the matter by and before this Commission on the 22nd day of April, 1958, at which time all interested persons were given a full opportunity to be heard and present evidence. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION HEREBY DETER- MINES AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That there were no protests either oral or written to the proposed reclassification; that the above described property comprises a small triangular portion of Lot 55, Tract No. ~ 12565, which is to be used with Lot 13 of said Tract adjacent to and immediately north of Lot 55 at 2610 South Second Avenue; that subject property is suitable for residential uses and can be properly de- veloped therefor in connection with said Lot 13. SECTION 2. That for the foregoing reasons this Commission recommends to the City Council that the property hereinabove de- scribed be reclassified and placed in Zone R-3. SECTION 3. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall cause a copy of the same to be forwarded ~ to the City Council of the City of Arcadia.
