l'1lLE.lEAS, tnere was filed with this Commission on ;iay 27,
1957, the application of Carl D. Anderoon, as owner, for the
reclassification from Zone R-3, to Zones C-2, PR-3 and H-2 or
the following described real property in the City of Arcadia,
Cow1ty of Los Angeles, State of Califorr~a, to wit:
Lots 4 and 5, Tract Ko. 12670, per map recorded
in Boole 245, pac;es 47 a.'1.d 48, of Laps, records
of said County,
located at 2611 and 2621 South Second Avenue, at the corner of
Seco"d and Live Oak Avenue, pursuant to which a public hearL'Ie;
was held by and before this Conunission Ol~ June 7th, 19:;7, at
the conclusion of whici1 this Commission adoI,;ted its certain
TIesolution ;':0. 259, whici1, among other thinGS, recommended tIle
reclassification to Zone C-I of a portion of the propel't:," here~ll-
above described, provided that the portion thus reclassified be
also placed in Zone D (Architectural Over'lq'); and,

should be reclassified to Zone D (Architectural Overlay) in
addition to the basic zoning applicable or to become appliceble
thereto.

SECTION 2. That for the protection of the residental areas
to the north of the above described property, for the inte[;ration
of co~nercial uses in the area, and to promote a full and proper
utilization of subject property, the followinc reotrictions are
deemed proper and necessary to be inwosed as re8ulations con-

A. A solid masonI1T wall six feet in heiBht, with-
out openirJ[;s for vehicular traffic, shall be
constructed at and alonG the south li~e 0; pro-
posed Tract No. 19709 from the west line of lot
4, Tract ~0.IZL670, to the west li~e of Second
Ave., except that it shall be 'four feet in
heiGht from the building se;;baclc line to the
street property line. _
B. The parkway along the proposed new street in
proposed Tract No. 19709 adjacent to said wall
shall be landscaped and maintained and a'51
space along the south side of said wall from
the above mentioned proposed street to the west
line of lot 4, Tract ~o. 12670 shall be IWld-
scaped and maintained.

C. All flood lighting shall be directed away fron
adjoining properties. '
D. The Planning Conunission may modify an~- of the
foregoing conditious if such modification will
not adversely affect property or improvements
in the vicinity and if such modification will
equal~y accomplish substantially the same re-
sults as will the adherence to the fore~oinG
conditions.
SECTION 3. The Secretary shall certify to the adoytion of
this nesolution and shall cause a copy of the same to be forwarded
to the City COllhcil of the City of Arcadia.
I I~Y CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted
at a regular adjourned meetinG of the City Plannine; Commission held
on the 30th Day of JUly, 1957, by the folloWiDG vote:
