RESOLUTION NO. 239
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA,
CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION
TO INSTITUTE PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
CONSIDERATION OF AND MAKING
RECOMMENDATIONS CONCERNING THE
RECLASSIFICATION FROM ZONE R-3 TO
ZONE C-M WITH A "D" OVERLAY OF
CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF
ARCADIA AND FIXING THE DATE OF A
PUBLIC HEARING THEREON.

WHEREAS, there have been applications filed with this
Commission requesting change of zone for certain property on North
Fifth Avenue between Huntington Drive and the Southern Pacific
Railroad right of way; and,
WHEREAS, in the opinion of this COmmission consideration
~ Should be given to the reclassification from Zone R-3 to Zone C-M
with a "D" overlay of property on the west side of North Fifth
Avenue between Huntington Drive and the Southern Pacific Railroad
right of way;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF ARCADIA DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That the public health, convenience and
general welfare of the City of Arcadia and the inhabitants thereof
require the consideration of and the institution of proceedings for
the purpose of considering and making recommendations concerning a
reclassification from Zone R-3 to Zone C-M with a liD" overlay of
the following described real property in the City of Arcadia, County
of Los Angeles, State of California, to wit:
The east 150 feet of Lot 4, except the north 110
feet of the south 130 feet thereof; and the east
150 feet of that portion of Lot 5 lying south of
the Southern Pacific Railroad right of way; all
in Block 84, Santa Anita Tract, as shown on map
recorded in Book 34, pages 41 and 42, Miscellane-
ous Records of Los Angeles County.
SECTION 2. That the City Planning Commission does hereby,
own motion, institute proceedings for said purpose. That

Tuesday, January 22, 1957, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m., in
... the Council Chambers in the City Hall, 240 West Huntington Drive,
Arcadia, California, is hereby fixed and determined as the date,
hour and place of the hearing for the consideration of such mat-
ters.
SECTION 3. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution and shall cause to be given notice of the date,
place and purpose of said hearing in the manner required by law.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
adopted at a regular meeting of the City Planning Commission held
on the 8th day of January, 1957, by the following vote:
AYES: Commissioners Acker, Balser, Daly, Pratt, Soren-
son and Vachon
NOBS: None
