RESOLUTION NO. 230 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO INSTITUTE PROCEEDINGS FOR THE CONSIDERATION OF AND MAKING RECOMMENDATIONS CONCERNING THE AMENDMENT OF ORDINANCE NO. 700 OF T"rlE CITY OF ARCADIA BY ADDING' THERETO NEW SECTIONS 10.1 AND 15.1, AND AMENDING SECTIONS 3 AND 11 AS MAY BE REQUIRED TO CONFORM WITH SAID NEW SEC- TIONS. THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS; SECTION 1. That the public health, welfare and conven- ience of the City of Arcadia and the inhabitants thereof require the . considerat~on of, and the institution of proceedings relative to the amendment of Ordinance No. 760 of the City of Arcadia by adding new Seetions 10.1 and l5.1 substantially as set forth in the following Sections, or as the same may be amended as the COlrunission may deem advisable upon the conclusion of the proceedings hereby instituted, and to amend Sections 3 and 11 as may be required to conform with such new Sections 10.1 and 15.1. SECTION 2. Pursuant to the foregoing, that a new Section 10.1 be added, thereby creating a commercial manufacturing zone, es- tablishing certain architectural standards to be required in such zone, and specifying the uses to be permitted therein, said Section 10.1 to read as follows: . "SECTION 10.1; "C-M" COMlI'lERCIAL-MANUFACTURING ZONE. The following regulations shall apply in the "C_M" Commer- cia1-Manufacturing Zone unless otherwise prOVided iJ:l this ordinance. Buildings erected or structurally altered and used exclusively for dwelling purposes shall comply with the front, side, and rear yard regulations of the "R-3" Zone. A. USE. Any use permitted in the C-3 Zone Wholesale business, storage buildings and warehouses Automobile laundry Bakery Boatbuilding if within a building Bottling plant Carpet cleaning plant Catering or commissary Cleaning and dyeing plant Distributing plant Electric or neon sign manufacture Equipment rental service with architectural approval Garment manufacture Laboratory, experimental, motion picture, testing Laundry, cash and carry, other than steam laundry ~mch1ne shop (if restricted as to noise) Mvtion picture studio Rubber (only fabrication of products made from finished rubber) Textile manufacture Tire rebuilding, recapping and retreading, within a building Accessory buildings and uses customarily incident to any of the above uses when located on the same lot Parking space (see Section 15). Other kinds of manufacture, processing or treatment of products other than those which may be obnoxious or of- fensive by reason of emission of odor, smoke, gas, noise or other similar characteristics, including hazards, provided that the determination of the character of any use as defined in this item shall be arrived at as set forth in Section 15, paragraph A, Use, subparagraph 1, General, Item "a". SECTION 3. Pursuant to Section 1, that a new Section 15.1 be added, prohibiting access across more restricted property to and from less restricted, the same to read as follows: II SECTION 15.1. GENERAL PROVISIONS - ACCESS. No property in a more restricted zone shall be used for ingress to or egress from property in a less restricted zone, other than for purposes permitted in suoh more restricted zone." SECTION 4. That Section 3 be amended by adding thereto . any new zones created or to be created, and not therein specified, and that Section 11 be amended by removing therefrom any uses pre- sently included therein and hereafter to be included in the new C-M Zone. SECTION 5. That Tuesday, the 25th of Septemeer, 1~56, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chambers of the City -2- 230 .,f . . . . . "'- ~~ Hall, 240 West Huntington Dl"ive, Arcadia, California, is hereby fixed and determined as the day, hour and place of a publiC hearing for the consideration of said matters and hearing and receiving testimony and evidence pertaining thereto. SECTION 5. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall cause to be published notice of the date, place and purpose of said hearing in the manner required by law.
