RESOLUTION NO. 220
.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA,
CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING THE
RECLASSIFICATION OF REAL PROPERTY
WEST OF FIRST A VENUE BETWEEN FOREST
AVENUE AND HAVEN AVENUE FROM ZONE
R-I TO ZONE R-2.
WHEREAS, there was filed with this Commission on the 23rd
of May, 1956, the application of Odie E. Pearce, as Chairman of the
Board of Trustees of the First Baptist Church of Arcadia, as owner,
for a reclassification from Zone R-I to Zone R-2 of the following
described property in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles,
to wit:

Lots 72 and 73, Tract No. 7820, as shown on map
recorded in Book 83, page 30, of Maps, records of
Los Angeles County, and the vaoated alley adjoining
Lot 72 on the east; and the north 100 feet of the
east 2.5 feet of Lot 6, the north 100 feet of the
west 62.5 feet of Lot 7, and the north 150 feet of the
east 62.5 feet of Lot 7, Tract No. 3112, as shown on
map recorded in Book 29, page 68, of Maps, records
of said County,
located west of First Avenue, between Forest Avenue and Haven Ave-
nue; and,
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, a public
hearing was held in the matter by and before this Commission on
June 12, 1956, at which time all interested persons were given a
full opportunity to be heard and to present evidence;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF ARCADIA DOES HEREBY FIND AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the only protest to the requested zone
... change was from the owner of property already zoned R-3. That the
East 45 feet of Lot 72, Tract No. 7820, and the vacated alley to
the east were rezoned to PR-2 on February 21, 1950; that subject
lots are 300 feet deep and the requested rezoning would be a rea-
aonable use of property now vacant and unused.

SECTION 2. That for the foregoing reasons, this Commis-
sion recommends to the City Council that the above described property
be reclassified and placed in Zone R-2 upon compliance with the con-
dition of the lot split that a final map be filed with the City En-
gineer.
SECTION 3. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution and shall oause a copy to be forwarded to the City
Council of the City of Arcadia.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Planning Commission held on the
loth day of July , 1956, by the follOWing vote:
AYES: Commissioners Acker, Balser, Daly, Pratt, Robertson,
Sorenson and Vachon
