RESOLUTION NO. 205 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA; CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING DENIAL" WITHOUT PREJUDICE, OF REQUESTED VARIANCE TO PERMIT CERTAIN PROPERTY' IN AN R-3 ZONE TO BE USED FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES. WHEREAS, Manuel and Lee Maler on August 10, 1955, applied for a varianoe to perm1t certain commercial uses, namely additional ~orage yard faoilities for plumbing material and equipment, of the rear property at 312 and 314 East Huntington Drive, described as follows: The easterly 48 feet of Lot 3, Tract No. 5205, as shown on map recorded in Book 54, page 61, of Maps, Records of Los Angeles County, except- ing therefrom the northerly 179.86 feet thereof and the southwesterly 25 feet thereof; , in conneotion with a plumbing, heating and sheet metal business at 310 East Huntington Drive; and, WHEREAS, after notioe required by Ordinanoe No. 760 of said City, a public hearing was duly held on the matter by and . before this Commission on the 23rd day of August, 1955, at whioh time all interested persons were given a full opportunity to be heard and to present evidence; NOW j THEREFORE, THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES HEREBY FIND AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION l. That because of the nature and looation of the . subject property, and the zoning and use of adjacent properties, good planning practice and the orderly development of the area require the institution of proceedings for and the consideration of the property for reolassification for oommercial uses. SECTION 2. That for the foregoing reason, this Commission recommends to the City Counoil that the request of Manuel and Lee Maler for a varianoe be denied without prejudice to any other or further prooeedings for the proper reclassification of the property for other proper relief. -l- , . ,,' 't/ \./ 205 \// . . . -' . SEC'l'ION 3. The Secretary shall oertify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall oause a copy to be forwarded to the City Counoil of the City of Arcadia. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Planning COl1Dlliss10n held on the 27th day of September, 1955, by the following vote: AYES: COI1DIIissioners Aoker, Balser, Pratt, Robertson, Soren- son and Vachon NOES: None."
