RESOLUTION NO. 203
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA,
CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING DENIAL,
WITHOUT PREJUDICE, OF REQUESTED
VARIANCE FOR MINIATURE GOLF COURSE
AND SPECIFIED COMMERCIAL USES.
WHEREAS, James F. Murray applied for a variance for a
miniature golf oourse and certain C-l and C-2 uses on a small parcel
of property to be used in conjunction with other property reoom-
mended ror C-l classification under Resolution No. 20l, under the
assumption that miniature golf oourses would be classified as a
use permissible in Zone C-I; and.
WHEREAS, this Commission has recommended under Resolution
No. 201 that subject property be classified and placed in Zone C-l,
under Resolution No. 202,
and rurther/that the business of miniature golf courses be olassi-
fied as a use permissible in Zone S-l, with the result that
applicant's property above is unsuitable for a miniature golf
course and applioant has suggested that his application be denied
without prejudice;
NOW, THEREFORE, this COl1Dllission hereby recol1Dllends to the
City Council that the application or James F. Murray for a variance
for a miniature golr course affecting the property at 2710 South
Baldwin Avenue be denied for the roregoing reasons, without preju-
dice to the filing of a new application.
The Secretary shall oertify to the adoption or this Resolu-
tion and shall cause a copy to be rorwarded to the City Council of
the City of Arcadia.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Planning Commission held on the
23rd day or August, 1955, bu. the following vote:
AYES: Commissioners Acker, Daly, Robertson, Sorenson and
Vachon
