RESOLUTION NO. 201

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA,
CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING THE
RECLASSIFICATION OF REAL PROPERTY
AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF BALDWIN
AVENUE AND LAS TUNAS DRIVE FROM
ZONE R-l TO ZONE C-l.
THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA,
CALIFORNIA, DOES DETERMINE, RESOLVE AND RECOMMEND AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. That there was filed with this Commdssion on
August lO, 1955, the petition of Ralph D. Stogsdill and Lulu P.
Stogsdill for the rec1assifioation from Zone R-l to Zone C-1 of
Lots 23, 24 and 25, Tract No. 664l, as ~eoorded in Book l26, page
67, of Maps in the Los Angeles County Recorder's office, located at
the southeast corner of Baldwin Avenue and Las Tunas Drive, pursuant
to whioh, after notioe as required by law, a public hearing was held
by and before this Commission on August 23, 1955, at which time all
interested persons were given full opportunity to be heard and to
present evidence.
SECTION 2. That there were no protests to the requested
reolassifioation; in fact, numerous owners of properties in the area,
including Miss In~Ds the owner of the next lot to the east of sub-
jeot property, were present and consented to the requested reclassi-
fication. That the fact that property at this intersection has
outgrown its residential character is evidenced by the numerous com-
mercial variances heretofore granted and the nature and extent of the
~ commeroial development in the area.
SECTION 3. That for the foregoing reasons, this Commis-
sion reoommends to the City Council that the above described subject
property 'oe reclassified and plaoed in Zone C-l. That such reclassi-
fication 'oe not oompleted until applioants ahall have offered for
dedication to street purposes sufficient property to provide for the

uniform widening of Baldwin Avenue adjaoent to subject property.
SECTION 4. The Seoretary shall oertify to the adoption
of this Resolution and shall oause a copy to be forwarded to the
City Council of the City of Aroadia.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
adopted at a regular meeting of the City Planning Commission held
on the 23rd day of August, 1955, by the following vote:
AYES: Acker, Daly, Robertson, Sorenson and Vachon
NOES: None
ABSENT: Pratt and Balser
