RESOLUTION NO. 191
A RESOLUTION OF THE aITY p~N1rING COM-
MISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALI-
FORNIA, RECOMr-lENDING THE GRANTLl\!G OF A
VARIANCE TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION,
~illINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF A V~DICAL
BUILDING AT III E. LIVE OAK AVENUE IN
SAID CITY

pennit the following described praperty, te-wit:
Lats 2 and 3, Tract Na. 12915, as sha~m an map

WHEREAS, after netice required by Ordinance No. 760 of said
City, a public hearing was duly held on the matter by and be fare this
. Co~~issien en the 26th day .of April, 1955, at which time all inter-
ested perSons were ~iven a full opportunity to be heard and to present
evidence;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Planning Commission hereby deter-
mines and reselves as fallaws:
SECTION 1. That there were na preteats ta the granting .of
the requested variance. That the subject property is in an R-3 Zone,
and ceuld, lmtil the adeption of Ordinance No. 900, lawfully be used
fer the c.onstructian, maintenance and .operation .of a medical .office.
That it is in an area new being cansidered for rezoning to the C-O Pr.o-
fessi.onal Office Zone and that there are .other medical buildings in the
area.
SECTION 2. That the granting .of a variance as hereinafter
.
rec.ommended is necessary f.or the preservation .of substantial preperty
rights of the applicant far the foregoing reasons. That the grantin~
.of the variance as hereinafter recammended will not be inc.onsistent with
ga.od planning practice, nor with the previsions .of the master zonin~

~an, nar w~th the present .or prospective devel.opment of the neighbor-
~ in which the property is located, but rather in c..onformity with
the faregaing.

SECTION 3. That for the foregoing reasons, this Commis-
sion recommends to the City Council of the City of Arcadia that a
variance be granted to permit Lot 2, Tract 12915, to be used for
the construction, maintenance and operation thereon of a medical
office building upon the condition that the property shall be used
for only those uses permitted in Subsections d, e, f, i, j, k, 1
and n of Section 8.1-A-2 of Ordinance No. 760 as amended by Ordi-
nance No. 900.
That the requested variance should be denied as to Lot 3,
Tract 12915, unless and until an alley twenty (20) feet in width is
dedicated across said Lot 3 at a location approved by the City
Planning Commission and the City Engineer.
SECTION 4. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution and shall cause a copy to be forwarded to the
... City Council of the City of Arcadia.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Planning Commission held on the
24th day of May, 1955, by the following vote:
AYES: Commissioners Acker, Daly, Pratt, Robertson and
Vachon
