DETER..,iINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOV. s: SECTION 1. That on January 11, 1955, this Commission adopted its Resolution No. 179, instituting proceedIngs for the eon- . sideration of and making recommendations concerning the reclassifi- cation from Zone R-3 to Zone c-o or Zone 0-1 of all or ~ortions of the parcels of property on che south side of and abutting Hunting- ton Boulevard between Michillinda A venue and Holly A venue and pre- sently zoned R-3. Pursuant thereto, after notice required by law, a public hesring was held by and before this OOlll.'Lission on January 25, 1955, at which time all persons interested were given full opportu~ity to be heard and to present evidence. SECTION 2. That there was considerable opposition to the reclassification of any portion of Huntington Boulevard to C-O or 0-1. That the bulk of the opposition came from rasidents and prop- erty owners in other areas. 'fhat little inte:rest was shown by the . owners of property in the area under consideration. or sixty par- cels of land involved, the parties in interest of only twelve par- cels appeared to express their interest in the matter. Of the tWelve, five were opposed to any reclaSEificeticn, three favored C-O classifica.tion and four favored a general commercial zoning. That it is apparent from the plwlic hearing t~~t there is little interest in or need for reclassification of all or any substantial portion of Huntington Boulevard between the west city limits and - 1 - 182 . .... .'''4 . . . SECTION 3. From the foregoing thIs Connllission finds and determines that neither the public health, safety, welfare nor con- venience require the farther consideraticn of or the reclassifica- tion of all or any substantial portion of Huntington Boulevard between Holly Avenue and the west city limits. That any reclassi- fication or relief from the restrictive provisions of Zone R-3 should be done only after consideration of an individual parcel after requeet by the owner or party interested therein. SEcrrON 4. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall cause; 9. copy to be far'.vR.rded to the City Co.mcil of the City of Ilrcadia.
