CEEDINGS FOR 'fHE CONSIDERATION OF JL'W

CLASSIFICATIUN FROM ZONES R-l. R-2 AND R-3

PROPERTY AND FIXING TKE DATE OF A PUBLIC
HEARING THEREON
v1HEREAS, this Commission has heretofore recommended the
amendment of Ordinance No. 760 of the City of Arcadia by creating
two additional commercial zones and removing certain semi-commercial
uses from the list of uses permitt'ed in Zone R-3, which said recom-
mendatiens have been substantially adop.ted by the City Council of

~ the City of Arcadia in snd by Ordinance No. 900 of the
City of Arcadia; and
V~iEREAS, the purpose and effect of such recommendations
and the adoption thereof by the Council is to pe rmit the classifi-
cation and reclassification of certain properties in a more
appropriate and orderly manner and the upgradillg of certain border-
line properties without permitting disharmonious uses therein;
NOli, TID.'REFORE, the City Planning Commission of the City
of Arcadia does hereby find, determine and resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That the public health, convenience and

general welfare of the City of Arcadia and the inhabitants thereof
require the consideration of and the institution of proceedings
for the purpose of considering and making recommendations concern-
ing the reclassification from Zones R-l, R-2 and R-3 to Zones R-2,
C-O end C-l, if the Commission may deem it advisll-ble after holding
a public hearing and receiving and considering all pertinent evi-
dence relative thereto, of the following described real property in
the City of Arcadia:
That certain property located on each side of
Duarte Road between a point approximately 145
feet east of First Avenue and a point approxi-
mately 282 feet east of Second Avenue, including
certain prop.erty on Second Avenue.

SECTION 2. That the City Planning Commission does hereby,
on its own motion, institute proceedings for said purpose. 'rhat
Tuesday, January 11, 1955, at the hour of 8:00 0 I clock p.m. in the
Council Chambers in the City Hall, 240 West Huntington Drive,
A~cadia, California, is hereby fixed and determined as the date,
hour and place of the hearings for the consideration of such matters.
SSCTION 3. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution and shall cause to be given notice of the date,
place and purpose of said hearing in the manner required by law.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Plannin~ Commission held on the
28th day of December, 1954, by the following vote:
