A RESOLUTION OF THE crry PWNOO COMMISSION OF THE crry OF AllCADIA, CALIFORNIA, RJroOMMEND_ ING THE CLASSMCATION FOR ZONING PURPOSES OF OmTAIN REAL PROPERl'Y OWNED BY THE CITY AND RIiXlClMMENDING INTEBnI EMERGENCY ZONING OF PROP. mY PROPOSED FOR ANNEXATION TO THE crn OF ARCADIA THE cm PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE crry OF ARCADIA, GALIFORNIA, DOES DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That this Comm1ssion did on October 13, 1954. under its CE!rtain resolution No. 172, institute proceedings for the consideration of and makiJlg recommendations concerning the classification of the followiJlg city. owned :JI6al property, in the event said property passes out of public ownership, to-vitI . That portion of Lot 126, Arcadia Acreage Tract, as per map recorded in Book 10, page 18, of Maps in the office 01' the Recorder of Los Angeles County described as follows: Begin- n:1ng at a point in the northerly line of Live Oak Avenue, 100 feet vide, .367.86 feet northeasterly of the intersection of the said northerly line and the easterly line of Sixth Avenue, 60 feet wide; thence northerly parallel to the westerly line of said Lot 126, 116.09 teet to a point, thence easterly parallel to the northerly line of said lot to a point in the easterly line of the land conveyed to tf. Merle and Marie Chrietine McFarlin by deed reeorded in Book 16869, page 'Z79, of Of'f1eiel ReeoMs of Los Angeles County, thence southerly along the last mentioned easterly line to the said north line of Live Oak Avenue, 100 feet wide, thence westerly along said northerly line to the point of beginning. SECTION 2. That af'ter notice as required by law, a publio hearing was held on the matter by and before this COlllIlIission on November 9, 1954, at which t:\Jne all interested persons were given full opportunity to be heard and to present evidence. . SECTION.3. That at said hearing, this Commission likewise considered the zoning to be placed upon the property west of and contiguous to the above described property and presently within the County of' Los Angeles. SECTION 4. That after oonsidering the evidance presented and the sub. jeot mat.ter genera~, this Commission adVises, determines and recommends that, prior to the passage of the above described property from public ownership, the - 1 - 175 . . . " . . Sllllle be classified and placed in Zone R-3. SECTION 5. That concurrent with the annexation of the contiguous prop- erty abutting Live Oak vest of llUbject property and presently in the County of Los Angeles, such property be placed in Zone R-3 under Ordinance No. 7&:1 as pre- sently in effect. That the said property is hereby described as foUevs: That portion of Lot 126, Arcadia Acreage Tract, as per map recorded in Book 10, page 18, of Maps, in the office of' the County Recorder of' the County of Los Angeles described as follows I Beginning at the intersection of' the northerly line of' the southerly 15 feet of said lot with the westerly line of the land described in deed to the City of Arcadia, recorded January 8, 1941, in Book 18097, page 217, Official ReCOrds, said intersection being a point in the northerly line of Live Oak Avenue as widened by final decree of condemnation entered in Case No. 269 622, Superior Colmt, a certified copy thereof being recorded in Book 12289, page 277, Official Records; thence Westerly along said Live Oak Avenue, 79 !'eet; thence northerly at right angles to eaid northerly line of Live Oak Avenue, 131 feet, more or lees,to the Southerly line of said land described in deed to the City of Arcadia; thence Easterly along said southerly line, 94 f'eet, more or less, to said Westerly line; thence Southerly along said Westerly line to the point of beginning. SECTION 6. The Secretary shall oertify to the adoption of this Resolu- tion and BhsJ.l cause a copy to be forwarded to the City Council ot the City ot Arcadia.
