RESOLUTION NO. 158 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMl\!ISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS RELATIVE TO THE PROPOSED AMEND- MENT OF ORDINANCE NO. 760 OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION NO~ 151 WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 17 of Ordinance No. 760. of the City of Arcadia, the City Planning Commission of the City of Arcadia did, on May 11, 1954, pass, approve and adopt its certain Resolution No. 151 entitled "~ RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COM- MISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA. CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO INSTITUTE PROCEEDINGS FOR THE CONSIDERATION OF AND MAKING RECOlJ- MENDATIONS CONCERNING THE AMENDMENT OF SECTION 4 OF ORDINANCE NO. 760 OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA", pursuant to which notice was duly pub- lished and given and a public hearing duly held on the 9th day of June. 1954. at which time all persons present and interested were given a full opportunity to be heard and to present evidence relative to the proposed amendment or Ordinance No. 760 of said City as pro- vided in said Resolution No. 151; and WHEREAS, said Planning Commission has fully reviewed and considered the subject matter generally;; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Planning Commission of the City of Arcadia, calif~rnia, does hereby find,determlne. resolve and recommend as follows: SECTION 1. That the public necessity, COnvenience and general welfare require, and this Commission hereby recommends to the City Council of the City of Arcadia, that Ordinance No.. 760 of said City be amended in the following particulars to read as follows: That SECTlITON 4-A.-2 be amended to read as follows: ":SECTION 4: "R-oll: FIRST ONE-FAMILY ZONE: 11.. USE 2. Agricultural crops, private greenhouses and hor- ticultural collections. (grown in the ground);. flower and - 1 - 158 . . . .' . . vegetable gardens; fruit trees, nut trees.;: the raising or keeping for domestic, non-collIlllercial use, of not to exceed a total of ten (10) fowl or birds, the raising or keeping of Racing Homing Pigeons under such regulations as may be 1mposed by Ordinance, and a total of not to exceed five (5) small en1mals (and the offspring of each thereof until such offspring is capable of being raised or maintained separately from and independently of full grown members of the same species), not more than two (2) horses for the use of the family occupying the lot on sites having an area of not less than sixteen thousand (16,000) square feet entirely within the boundary lines of a single lot as such lot is shmm on the subdivision map recorded in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County, provided one (1) additional horse may be kept for each additional five thousand (5,000) square feet over the minimum sixteen thousand (16,000) square feet, and provided further that no more than a total of five (5) horses shall be maintained, and provided that the keeping of all poultry, rabbits and domestic animals provided for herein shall conform to other provisions of law governing same; community buildings and libraries, together with the usual accessories neoessary and incidental to the use of the main building located on the same lot or parcel of land, when owned III d controlled by the City of Arcadia." SECTION 2. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall cause a copy of the same to be forwarded to the City Council of the City of Arcadia.
